The Republic of Croatia lies along the east coast of the Adriatic Sea and its hinterland. It stretches from the slopes of the Alps in the northwest to the Pannonian Plain in the East.
A Country with a thousand year old history, first appeared or was born on the political map of Europe in 1992. There are 1185 islands, islets and reefs of which only 47 islands ar inhabited. It has eight national parks covering 994 sq km, four of which are in the mountaineous region of Risnjak, North Velebit, Paklenica and Plitvice Lakes. Four in the coastal region of Kornati, Mljet, Brijuni and Krka.
A potpourri of 1000 years of different cultures, sun and warmth of the Adriatic sea & the irresistable charm of the Mediterranean sea, makes Croatia unique. Added to this, tree Vroatian cities, two monuments and one national park are a part of UNESCO’s World Heritage.
